Superbowl Betting Question? Hi, For the superbowl, I noticed the line is: 101 New Orleans Saints +6 (-105) Over 56.5 102 Indianapolis Colts -6 (-115) Under 56.5 Can someone please explain to me what each of these #'s mean?

the +6 is the spread that means that the colts has to beat the saints by 6 or more points for the person to win the bet.... im not sure what the parentheses number means but the over under is the amount of total points between the two teams added together. so in order for you to win if you pick the saints they would have to be at least 6 points behind the colts and have a combined of 56.5 total points or more

You usually don't bet on simply the winner or loser. You bet that the Colts will win by six points or more. If the Colts win by 3 points, you still lose the bet. Or, you can bet that New Orleans won't lose by more than 6 points. Over/Under: Add the total points scored by both teams. Will it be a high scoring game (more than 56 points) or low scoring game (less than 56 points). I am not to sure what the (-105) or (-115).
