America's team in baseball changes depending on the situation. For a while it was the Red Sox, because they were constantly the underdog. In 2001, it was the Yankees because of 9/11. The Sox are mainly seen as America's team.

ESPN tries their hardest to promote the Yankees and Red Sox.

Well I also would say no generally, but it does seem like the Red Sox get more and more popular every year. So if I had to pick one from Current time, I would pick the Red Sox
